Tuesday @ 7pm - True Champs [0-2] vs Simply Pool Souls [0-2]
Last Week - TC lost 5-0 to PFN & SPS lost 5-1 to LPL
Coming off back to back blankings for Mari & company, they can at least feel good about one thing. Their opponents have only won a single game, and just like the records show, this match-up will be quite close. Both sides have started their season on the rough end of the schedule with both of them facing very tough sides [BnR & PFN for TC and EPC & LPL for SPS]. What this match will come down to is which TC will we see. Will we see the grind 'em out squad from UIC? Or the TC squad that ended the IPA season? Mario will have Mike back I assume for this week, and along with Kassi & n00b [who has put together solid tournament runs around the realm], TC should have a solid team. On the flip side you have a bunch of unknowns and Jason [who beat Ant last week vs LPL]. SPS should not be taken lightly though, those unknowns carry quite a bit of talent as shown by desbrats 2nd place finish in one of last week's tournaments. If the right TC shows up, this match should still be close, but the final result land on TC's side of the fence.
Prediction - 5-4 TC
Tuesday @ 7pm - Extreme Pool Competitors [1-1] vs Latino Pool Legends [2-0]
Last Week - EPC lost 5-4 to MIB & LPL won 5-1 over SPS
Jack & company are coming off a tough loss to MIB where they were up 4-3 at one point. Jack will need the same players to come and do the same to LPL if they look to have any chance at another win. For Latino, Anthony & Witchcraft Legends [lawl!], they'll need to get over my poor attempt at a joke, and be ready to play. After almost losing to MIB in week one, they face a team that should've beaten them. EPC has a chance with LPL?! LAWL MISTER PREDICTOR LAWLL!! In all seriousness EPC does have a chance, IF they were home. Ant will be able to take away any chance of Jack being able to pair up to snag some wins and will now need his players to step up as individuals and try to take down the powerhouse that is LPL. Ant shouldn't have a problem with this match if he takes this seriously, because an upset here wouldn't surprise me.
Prediction - 5-3 LPL
Wednesday @ 6pm - Freedom [0-2] vs Money in the Bank [1-1]
Last Week - Freedom lost 5-0 to BnR & MIB won 5-4 over EPC
After a 5-0 thumping by Break n Run, Petey & company are probably more hurt over the loss to BnR then their current rank in the standings, but brighter days are ahead. With a little birdy saying Freedom were choking left and right in their games, that 5-0 score might've been a lot closer if there weren't so many feelings attached. But with Ash promising he wont lose a game, TJ in the line-up, and a quickly rising player in Dwayne, Petey may have all the tools for a deep play-off run. MIB were expected to coast along all season, but after choking away their match to LPL and almost blowing their match to EPC, the alarm has sounded for Pommy to get his squad back up to their potential. Mike [doo da/ReallyBigAssNegro] has been the star for MIB so far with 1v1 play & his tournament win. He will be key for MIB should they look to beat a not-so-deep Freedom team, that really wants to win now. This match will be close in my eyes, and should come down to who wants it more.
Prediction - 5-4 Freedom
Wednesday @ 6pm - Magic Pool [2-0]vs Pool Fiction [1-1]
Last Week - MP won 5-3 over X8B & PFN won 5-0 over TC
The TC prediction may have been a tad bit whack, but the previous one? You'll love this one if you've been hiding in the bushes then. MP were able to defeat an X8B squad last week without one of their star players in Jordy but were still able to win. If both Jordy & Croz are able to play this week, PFN will have troubles contending. With Miz returning, PFN got a massive boost in a great player, and while 1 player can be a team here, it's tough these days. PFN will need a few new sign-ups this week since this isn't the old dominating PFN, nor the old push-over MP squad from the past we've gotten to know.
Prediction - 5-2 MP
Thursday @ 7pm - Xtreme 8 Ball [1-1] vs Break n Run [2-0]
Last Week - X8B lost 3-5 to MP & BnR won 5-0 over Freedom
For the third week in a row, the best match seems to be left for last. No knock on MP-PFN but X8B dismantled PFN in week one, but lost a close one to MP this past week. Ben, James & Corey will need to be on key if they look to take down Break n Run. All of their players stepped up last week despite Freedom having rough luck but will need to use their 10-0 record as backing to try and keep themselves atop the standings. Dina will have a lot of talent to choose from but having the trio from PL along with Josh should guarantee her the win.
Prediction - 5-3 BnR
