Week 6

Monday @ 7pm - Extreme Pool Competitors [#6 - 2-3] vs Magic Pool [#3 - 3-2]
EPC are coming off a massive win over X8B and will face the same calibre of a team this week in MP. While EPC seem to be losing players, they're just now starting to win. Players like Chris, Timm & even Jack himself have been able to pick up wins for EPC when needed and will need the same type of performance against a team that beat X8B a few weeks back. MP are coming off a shocking loss to TC this past week and while its their second loss in as many weeks, MP should be able to bounce back with all the talent they have. Chris has been playing well as of late and with Trey, Croz & Jordy being their usual tough opponents, MP shouldn't have much trouble with this match.

Prediction - 5-2 MP

Monday @ 8pm - Pool Fiction [#7 - 2-3] vs Freedom [#8 - 2-2]
PFN are coming off a big loss to MIB that didn't seem that close at all, while Freedom were able to win a close one over LPL thanks to Ash pulling through and winning 3 games. On paper, PFN should win with ease, but paper is so yesterday. PFN are led by players such as Miz, Brent & Cam, and will need all 3 to be at their best for this match. Brent has been on fire in cam comps as of late, Cam I havn't seen forever and Miz has started his MLP campaign off on the right foot. Freedom I imagine will be led by Petey & Ash, then players like Dwayne, Hope & Eba will need to step up to provide support if they look to win 5 games. Eba was able to defeat Ant last week which says enough, Hope has started off both MLP & IPA undefeated and Dwayne was near the top of the MVP chase in the Emerald Division for UIC. Petey has proven himself as a captain when he can behave, giving an advantage to Freedom off the start, but that can be taken away quite quickly if Sean is able to bring players who want to mimic the performance of Ash last week. Both sides have players capable of winning 2-3 games against the others if they're on their game, but it all comes down to whoever has the best streaking 5 players at the table, which both captains will be itching for as neither side would receive Christmas cards from the other..

Prediction - 5-4 Freedom [Stole it from Trey!]

Tuesday @ 7pm - Money in the Bank [#4 - 3-2] vs Break n Run [#1 - 5-0]
After a big 5-2 win over PFN, Pommy & company will need to bring the same kind of heat to cool off BnR. Was my call out an alarm to some of the players for MIB? Must've, it seems Pommy has his players clicking [as evident by Matt's 2nd tournament victory in as many weeks] and will not only need his machine oiled up, but his talent to be there. Whats there to say about Break n Run? The loss of another member is pretty unnoticeable with all the talent BnR still have. You've got the core of PL, one of the best from 8br, a few of the old CKP guys and Palpy, cant complain with that mix can you? Dina will need her top 5 at the table otherwise MIB could roll right past.

Prediction - 5-4 BnR

Tuesday @ 8pm - Latino Pool Legends [#2 - 4-1] vs True Champs [#10 - 1-4]
After a shocking loss to Freedom this past week, Ant & company play a league you could very well call Freedom JR. TC have been led by Mario & Mike for quite some time, have had their ups & downs for a while, but are finally in what seems to be a long "up" as they have found a new core and even a mini superstar Ash in safdarbandali. While he may not be as loud or well known as Ash, that's why he's a mini! Safdar was able to go 3-0 vs a strong MP side. LPL on paper should have no problem winning this 5-0, but with recent struggles and L's amongst interleagues around, there is a chance jaws drop late Tuesday night..

Prediction - 5-3 LPL

Thursday @ 7pm - Simply Pool Souls [#9 - 1-4] vs Xtreme 8 Ball [#5 - 2-3]
Coming off a big loss at the hands of BnR, Heathers life doesn't get any easier [no, not a stab at you Jason!]. SPS not only have to play X8B, but do it away from home, giving up chances at finding match-ups to try and push this to a game 6-7, but SPS will need their players to step up and get ready to face the daunting task of playing any one of X8B's superstars, or Ben. X8B finish the first half of the season a game under .500, but have the current bottom 3 still to play along with an up & down LPL side. Ben wont have to scramble for the hard to get Adam & company, but should still show with a solid 5 if he wants to come out with a 5-1/5-2 win.

Prediction - 5-1 X8B

Week 5

Monday @ 7pm True Champs [#10 - 0-4] vs Magic Pool [#3 - 3-1]
After being only one win away from their first win, Mario & company will need to do a bit more to try and try and get their first against a solid MP squad. TC were led by Jan (n00b_playa) who almost went the distance against Freedom finishing 3-1. Jan will be key if TC want to upset an MP squad that just couldn't close. After Croz missed an 8 ball that would've had MP up 4 games to Ant, they were only up 3 to 1+Ant. While they had no trouble getting rid of that one, the 3 winners for MP had no answer for Ant the rest of the way. Luckily, there is no Ant, just a mini-Ant.

Prediction - 5-2 MP

Monday @ 8pm Xtreme 8Ball [#4 - 2-2] vs Extreme Pool Competitors [#7 - 1-3]
James & company were able to draw their record back to .500 in a big way with a big 5-1 win over MIB this past week, and this week will need to take care of a strong EPC squad, should they show with 5. Jack had troubles getting a team together last week vs BnR as he was only able to come with 3, but should be able to find 5 for this match as it is very well a make or break match for EPC's season. X8B with the win would be able to put a 2 game cushion on the last playoff spot, and with 4 weeks to go after this it would be big, but a win for EPC, and the next 4 weeks will be incredibly fun.

Prediction - 5-3 X8B

Tuesday @ 7pm Freedom [#8 - 1-3] vs Latino Pool Legends [#2 - 4-0]
After having to go the distance with TC, Petey & company will need a completely different plan if they look to take down LPL this week. With Tim having to carry against TC due to Freedom's big names struggling to win, Freedom will need to turn it around if they look to make a push for the playoffs. LPL were lucky to escape last week but Ant was able to carry through 4 games (including his first) as they squeaked past MP. Looking at the stats LPL shouldn't have a problem with Freedom but if they underestimate, Ant may have to do the same to keep Freedom under control should their stars perk up..

Prediction - 5-3 LPL

Wednesday @ 6pm Money in the Bank [#6 - 2-2] vs Pool Fiction [#5 - 2-2]
If you have money in the bank, buy a new machine guys. Beyond Mike, no one on the MIB is sticking out like they should, including their all-star in Si. Why MIB can only win one game vs X8B isn't a knock on X8B, but a major knock on Pommy. Are all these players that washed up? Or can they just not win that one game unless it becomes a bo10 deal like cam comps? Either way, this match is big for both sides as the loser will have one hell of a hill to climb. For PFN, they were able to get past a relatively quiet SPS side this past week but will need to be ready to bring the noise this week. Players like Miz, Cam & Pita will need to be on their game if they look to get past a stronger MIB squad because going 2-3 may provide some troubles down the road for either team..

Prediction - 5-3 MIB

Wednesday @ 7pm Break n Run [#1 - 4-0] vs Simply Pool Souls [#9 - 1-3]
Coming off a dominant win over EPC, Dina & company get a slower week against the likes of SPS. SPS played one of their best matches in recent time against a strong PFN squad but just didn't have the experience or skill to grab more then the 2 wins they got. Dina has too many skilled players that would get cranky if they were sat, so expect a complete blow out..

Prediction - 5-0 BnR

Thursday @ 7pm

Week 4

Here's a quick do-up of the what-should-be current standings. Mistakes are possible as I just plugged them in real quick for everyone.

# League Record + / - Streak
1 Break And Run 3-0 15-3 +3
2 Latino Pool Legends 3-0 15-5 +3
3 Magic Pool 3-0 15-8 +3
4 Money In The Bank 2-1 14-12 +2
5 Xtreme8Ball 1-2 11-10 -2
6 Extreme Pool Competitors 1-2 9-10 -2
7 PoolFiction 1-2 8-10 -1
8 Simply Pool Souls 1-2 5-12 +1
9 Freedom 0-3 5-15 -3
10 True Champs 0-3 2-15 -3

Monday @ 7pm - Money in the Bank [2-1] vs Xtreme 8Ball [1-2]
Pommy & company almost lost, again, to who? The week prior they escaped EPC and this past week were lucky to not force a ninth game with Freedom. What is going on? They have talent, we've all heard them at any table they're at, but why aren't they crushing competition like they should? This match is the one to prove I'm just typing to see my self type and MIB can win, doesn't matter of the score. Players like Conner, Mike, Matt & Pommy will be key to this weeks match. For X8B, its breaking back to even after a tough start. With one of the toughest schedules to start the season, James & Benny know if they can keep up with everyone during the first half of the season, they'll be more then able to coast through the last half and finish high in the standings. They are quite capable of a big win over a what seems to be struggling MIB squad, but will need players like boo, Adam, Corey & the captains to do such.

Prediction - 5-4 X8B

Monday @ 7pm - Freedom [0-3] vs True Champs [0-3]
After losing a frustrating match to MIB in which they had a solid chance to win, Freedom will get to regroup against a struggling TC squad, but need to still take it seriously. Their key players are having a tough time starting this season up but if they get on key quickly, they in my eyes, have a solid chance at reaching the playoffs. TC are still rebuilding but got into MLP so they must be doing something right. TC have a good squad in Mario, Mike & Kassi among many, but just don't have the experience & patience needed to win against the big dogs. Many of their matches are real close, but they don't have that extra push to get to the 8 ball in many games, but as their core develops I seem them doing well in the future.

Prediction - Freedom 5-2

Wednesday @ 7pm - Break n Run [3-0] vs Extreme Pool Competitors [1-2]
Reminiscent of some heated IPA battles, these 2 sides come in on different angles. Dina is leading her squad high & clear. With some of the best talent on her side, and league activity up for now, Dina cant complain with anything. Ideal team with her ideal league clicking away more then most. EPC haven't clicked much lately but have just passed their 1 year anniversary. Many said EPC wouldn't last more then a month, ditto with PRO, but here they are, and a dangerous team as well. While they lost 5-0 to LPL this past week, the score doesn't do them justice as many of the games were close and just a week before they did take MIB to the wire. Dina will need to keep the pedal on the floor to avoid an upset minded EPC squad here.

Prediction - 5-3 BnR

Thursday @ 6pm - Pool Fiction [1-2] vs Simply Pool Souls [0-3]
PFN usually have slow starts and while they'll be 2-2 after this week [oh no! Spoiler!], it doesn't do them justice. A squad containing Miz, Brent & Pita you think would get more wins but apparently not [Sean, you're good at pool too, start playing]. PFN end their season on a tough streak, so they'll need to hop into the play-off picture with some padding soon if they look to avoid missing the playoffs in the past 2 carry seasons. For SPS, they beat TC last week which will instill confidence but its still a long journey ahead for Jason & Heather. The WPC duo certainly have the team that can upset PFN if they're on their game and PFN isn't, but it's a stretch and while Jason is a great player, he cant do it alone.

Prediction - 5-3 PFN

Thursday @ 7pm Latino Pool Legends [3-0] vs Magic Pool [3-0]
For the fourth straight week, the marquee match-up is in the late Thursday slot. LPL are expected to be here but MP? Apart from their week 1 hiccup with EP, they have just dominated both X8B and PFN since. This will be their real test though. Both these sides seem to have players going the distance in the tournaments which should prove for some highly contested play. LPL will be led by none other then Ant [Who I believe is 4-1] and possibly the best supporting cast around, but names on paper don't decide a match. Trey leads a solid squad including Croz & Jordy who will both need to be on their A game if they look to get past a strong LPL squad.

Prediction - 5-4 LPL
