Last weeks results:
Freedom defeat Simply Pool Souls 5-1 - Both teams doing what they've done all season..
Break and Run defeat Dead Strokes 5-4 - Close call for Break and Run tonight, shows how good Dead Strokes are
8Ball Crushers defeat Straight Shots 5-3 - Despite their quick start, are Straight Shots back to their slow starting ways?
Latin Pool Legends defeat Sexy Poolerz 5-3 -They came, they saw, they conquered. Sexy Poolerz continue to fall while Latin Pool Legends may very well be back on to their dominating ways.
Monday @ 7pm - Sexy Poolerz [2-2] @ Freedom [4-0]
This really has classic "PFN vs FR" written all over it. With Brice gone, it really seemed like PFN + a few carrying the way, but even with Brice back, does it really change anything? Sexy Poolerz are in a bit of a fall early on, and looking at the past seasons of PRO, every week is a must win for teams looking to get into the playoffs. Coming off two straight losses, Sexy Poolerz really need to come out swinging if they look to avoid going under .500 half way through the season. The pick up of Pom by SP is surprising but a good one if he can get rolling and forget about his marbles. Himself, along with Carlos, Kev and Mike are necessary if they look to have any shot of defeating Freedom this week. Freedom are inconsistent at best. When their top players are there, they are on of the best without doubt, but how often do the likes of Andy, Adam, Nish, Trav and Matt all sit at the table at once? If Freedoms top guns are able to show, their rolling ways will continue otherwise they'll be forced to lean on a few to carry, which will come down to the wire.
Prediction - 5-3 Freedom
Tuesday @ 7pm - Straight Shots [2-2] @ Break and Run [3-1]
Another quite exciting match as we get to see the trio of Ant, Jon and Pita up against the likes of Jordy, Jim and Croz. Advantage? Jordys potential MVP stats. On paper, this looks like a match where Straight Shots will be up big and it'll all come down to Jordy, but this is Straight Shots, who are harder to predict than a deaf man predicting when the drop comes in dubstep. How they lost to 8Ball Crushers is a mystery to me, but it's just so hard to predict them to lose consecutive weeks. They have a few tournament winners this season with the likes of Nhan and Sampler, so the back up support is there for Straight Shots, it's just a matter of time before they break out and light it up. For Break and Run, their roster on paper doesn't look like a championship roster, but they keep getting it done. Jordy has been the driving force in their two wins outside of their SPS victory, helping carry the team week after week, his shoulders must be stronger than Michael Clarke Duncans (Guy from The Green Mile). This match is really up in the air, Break and Run should keep it close but Straight Shots should be able to pull it out.
Prediction - 5-4 Straight Shots
Wednesday @ 7pm - Simply Pool Souls [0-4] @ Latin Pool Legends [1-3]
If only records showed the story. SPS has had a tough start to PRO, still averaging a 5-1 loss every week. They have the talent to keep matches close, but they just haven't been able to get going, and this week might be their toughest test yet. Somehow the reigning champions are 1-3, is it because MJ left? Maybe, but Gus has came back to fill the void and help Daru with that 1-2 punch. Simply Pool Souls may reach more than 1 win, might it may just be due to LPL's short roster.
Prediction - 5-1 Latin Pool Legends
Thursday @ 7pm - Dead Strokes [1-3] @ 8Ball Crushers [3-1]
Mr. Balboa continues to impress with his flawless 8-0 record thus far, accounting for half of the teams total wins. Beyond him though, 8bc has had minimal success with only two other players with two wins (and three losses each). Dead Strokes has kept a lot of matches close, but haven't been able to pull out those close victories, partly because they lose so much. Yes I know losses = match loss, but their support players just aren't getting the job done. Too many times their players are forced to carry against the majority of the opposition just for the win, they get close, but just cannot finish it. If Dead Strokes are able to play top notch from top to bottom, they should win with ease, but if they continue to give their opponents the advantage moving into game 6-7, this week might be another one they just cannot finish off.
Prediction - 5-3 8Ball Crushers

Week Four
Tuesday @ 7pm - Freedom [3-0] @ Simply pool Souls [0-3]
Simply Pool Souls have had a tough start to their time in PRO averaging just one win a match. While Jason and Joe are capable of winning a few games a week, they cannot carry alone with such talent residing in every league. Players like Monte and guns will need to step up, especially this week if they look to gain some ground outside of their conference. Freedom comes in rolling like last season with wins from everyone. While Freedom may not need to take this seriously, they'll still need to start strong to avoid an upset.
Prediction - 5-1 Freedom
Tuesday @ 7pm - Break and Run [2-1] @ Dead Strokes [1-2]
Much bigger match-up here as Break and Run sit first after a big win over Sexy Poolerz last week while Dead Strokes were 2 wins away from a 3-0 record with game 9 losses in the past 2 weeks. On paper, Break and Run is a lot more talented with the likes of Jordy, Jim and Croz, but with the likes of Scott and Eddie being on fire so far, Dead Strokes are far from a pushover. Couldn't find any recent match-ups between the two sides, so while Dead Strokes should be able to keep it close, Break and Run should be able to pull it out.
Prediction - 5-3 Break and Run
Wednesday @ 6pm - 8Ball Crushers [2-1] @ Straight Shots [2-1]
Two talented teams who are incredibly inconsistent go to battle this week. 8BC are a talented bunch, but have hit a few hiccups in the road making them a team no one really enjoys playing against, but that aside, they are a talented bunch when they all show up and can take down any team. Straight Shots come into this one on different form then past seasons, they actually have a winning record before the half way point of the season, but I guess with Ant, that just comes naturally. Ant is a great pick up for SS who seem to house all the returns of great players, so with him added to the due of Jon and Pita who like to heat up late in the season, Straight Shots have jumped to a title contender. If 8BC are able to bring their top 5, they will certainly be able to test Straight Shots top 3 with their depth, and while players like Kron and Rocky have a history for carrying all 4-5 wins, it's a tall task against a hot SS squad.
Prediction - 5-4 Straight Shots
Thursday @ 7pm - Latin Pool Legends [0-3] @ Sexy Poolerz [2-1]
Latin Pool Legends have had a poor start to their quest for back-to-skip-a-season-to-back-to-back titles. While their roster size hasn't really changed, Daru's play has. He was the only reason LPL made it to the playoffs and so far he hasn't been able to carry the load, already a few games back of the playoffs, but Gus has returned "home" and if LPL finish with less than 6 wins, I'll be surprised. Gus is talented enough, and will give his ol' amigo a morale boost and Daru should get back to form, which makes this match a great one. Sexy Poolerz were acclaimed the greatest team other than the Mighty Ducks when the new era of SP was formed, and it worked out well until last week when I don't think they got a single win in any interleague, couple that with multiple boxing's and withdrawals in past weeks, and Brice has his hands full. The Titanic was a super ship, a world phenomenon, but in the end just turned into a classic movie to get laid next too. Will we be getting laid with the memory of Brice, Kerry, Sean and Craig in the near future? I sure hope not but Brice will need to steady the ship before they sink Y!Pool style.

Week two
Last weeks results:
8Ball Crushers defeat Break and Run 5-4 - Rocky did little for EC last season, guess his efforts were one way to assure himself a spot when he wants.
Sexy Poolerz defeat Simply Pool Souls 5-1 - Looks like Joe has some work to do if he wants to compete for the top spot.
Freedom defeat Straight Shots 5-3 - Another slow start for Straight Shots on the horizon?
Dead Strokes defeat Latin Pool Legends 5-2 - Even if I knew Daru was going to bring 3, I still would have predicted them to win..
This weeks matches:
Monday @ 7pm - Sexy Poolerz [1-0] @ 8ball Crushers [1-0]
Sexy Poolerz were able to walk all over SPS as expected, but this week they face a dark horse who have been over achieving as of late, or have they? 8bc on paper don't look talented, but recent results across interleagues show 8bc are a top 3 team. How? Who knows, they have a lot of talented players who have risen to the occasion when necessary, with no one player being depended on week in and week out, which is key. Sexy Poolerz have great players, and then they have a number of good players like 8bc. For 8bc to succeed this week, they'll need to target the likes of Craig and Mike and hope they have numbers heading into the 6th game otherwise it could be lights out for them. Sexy Poolerz is a smart pick, but for some reason, those damn 8ball crushers...
Prediction - 5-4 8Ball Crushers
Tuesday @ 7pm - Break and Run [0-1] @ Simply Pool Souls [0-1]
Both sides coming in off tough losses, one a blow out the other a close game 9 match-up so something has to give. Break and Run made quick work of them in WSOP a few weeks ago, and in carry format you imagine the same result should follow, but this all does depend on how many top players Dina can get to the table. Their player consistency is poor, but based on their line-up from last weeks loss to 8bc, they should be able to handle SPS with ease unless Joe or Jason get on a real tear. SPS has a lot of undervalued talent, so if Break and Run take this too lightly, SPS could have numbers and would leave a BNR player with the task of carrying.
Prediction - 5-2 Break and Run
Tuesday @ 7pm - Straight Shots [0-1] vs Latin Pool Legends [0-1]
This match can straight up go either way, Straight Shots are talented but why do they always suck at the start of interleagues? Players like Jon, Pita and nhan are more then capable of winning matches on their own, just like LPL and their miniscule roster. Not sure what's going on with LPL and their PRO plans, but if SS shows with a full roster, I cannot imagine LPL winning without a full roster.
Prediction - 5-3 Straight Shots
Wednesday @ 7pm - Dead Strokes [1-0] @ Freedom [1-0]
Dead Strokes got a great win on paper, even though it would have been such a let down if they hadn't pulled it off. Dead Strokes have an average roster, but have always given Freedom trouble and with Freedom's strange showing last week, anything is possible. Last week Freedom were carried by a str0ker and Andy, while players like Adam and Matt lost, and whoever 0rgasm is. Andy, Adam and Matt alone could, rather should carry against DS if they show again, so unless Dead Strokes are able to come out firing and throw Freedom back on their heels, I can't imagine an upset here.
Prediction - 5-3 Freedom

Week one
Monday @ 6pm - 8Ball Crushers @ Break and Run
On one side we have a team that usually finishes in the middle of the table despite having the potential to be at the top, while on the other we have one side that used to be at the top but now find themselves slowly falling down the ladder. This season, led by JJ, 8Ball Crushers will look to build upon recent success and have one, strong season and what better stage to show your best than PRO. In a season where no win is easy and every loss puts you in a hole that's tough to get out of,the likes of JJ, Jay, Raj & co. will need to realize if they want to succeed, they better lead by example. For Break and Run to succeed, the familiar equation is if Jordy = Lots of wins and minimal losses, than team = two thumbs up. Break and Run have a supporting cast around Jordy to be lethal if they play to their potential, but they have been slacking that department. When clicking Break and Run are deadly, otherwise it's all on Jordy. This opening match will be a great one that Jordy and Gus should be able to carry out.
Prediction - 5-3 Break and Run
Tuesday @ 7pm - Sexy Poolerz @ Simply Pool Souls
A lot of S's, almost as many P's, but only one W to be given out this night. Sexy Poolerz come in reborn to say the least, with a lot of added talent, Brice and co. are certainly a force this season, but with the reputation that came from PFN, opponents will be placing a target on their back so every match gets that much harder for them, though it may not matter with their talent level. For SPS, this season will be an experience. Their first carry format with a few players not familiar, but if those little birds are right they'll have experience right up their alley. They are a team that can take 3 of the first 5 games quickly, but holding onto a lead is what will hold them back. Will be interesting to see how they do, but a win might not be their thing this week.
Prediction - 5-2 Sexy Poolerz
Wednesday @ 7pm - Freedom @ Straight Shots
Fresh season for both squads who look to do a bit of redemption. Freedom were hot all season while Straight Shots for the umpteenth time started off slowly but finished quite strong. The big story here is who will be available for Straight Shots, known for slow starts, the turmoil does not help one bit. They'll have a few big names, but the 4-5 support will be the issue. Freedom I'm sure will continue their season streak with all their big names, so expect a win for Freedom.
Prediction - 5-3 Freedom
Thursday @ 7pm - Dead Strokes @ Latin Pool Legends
In the final match of the opening week, Dead Strokes looks to see what kind of damage they can do to the reigning champs. LPL won it last season in typical LPL fashion, with only 4 eligible players all playoffs, they won it, with 4, and nothing suggests that'll change this season. LPL will commonly show with 3-4 players, but they'll win more often than not that way. Dead Strokes will need to have the hammer down all match if they want to pull out an upset to start the season, but I don't think DS has the fire power to do so, it'll be interesting to see who their line up contains though.

Season 13
Here we are with another season of PRO, caught only by the fact I wondered over at my lunch break. Good timing wouldn't you say?
Season 13 shapes up to be another great season for PRO with quality leagues and great story lines. Since its rebirth, PRO has given winners to 2 champions, Break and Run in season 9 and 11, while Latin Pool Legends have held the title in seasons 10 and 12, despite only playing in 3 of the past 4 seasons. Pool Fiction, a perennial threat has folded with their core moving to SP, coining a nick name of "SPFN". If Sexy Poolerz look to avoid missing the playoffs after starting well for the umpteenth time, SPFN might be the reason why. We have two leagues new to PRO but not interleagues, and every ones favorite 13-0 team who had their glass slippers fall off in their first playoff match.
Welcome to admin Brice, welcome back to admin Dan. Welcome to PRO Dead Strokes & Simply Pool Souls, welcome back everyone else. They say the rules have changed but quite frankly they just to be ordered differently.
Atlantic Conference:
1st - Sexy Poolerz - They've been winning close matches in WSOP, but they've been winning. Gone are the seasons past when they've struggled to get over the hump, they have conquered that hump and now look to be king of the hill. They have no stand out all-star player, but this is by far a line up that can be compared to the UP teams of their past. Sean will need continue his streaking ways, while Mike will looked upon as their backbone, probably being their best player this season.
Best case record: 10-0
Probable record: 8-2
Oh-boy-look-at-that-collapse record: 6-4
2nd - Break and Run - Last season they got off to a slow start, but once Jordy caught fire, so did they. If Jordy is able to start hot and finish hot, there is no question that Break and Run can finish a top this division and even duplicate Freedom's seasonal success, but he cannot do it alone. Croz has been on poor form lately but that can all change very quickly. Break and Run have minimal depth, but they have top-tier talent always ready to play, so they'll give Sexy Poolerz a good run for their money for the top spot.
Best case record: 9-1
Probable record: 6-4
Oh-boy-look-at-that-collapse record: 4-6
3rd - 8 Ball Crushers - A team that has proven they can beat any team, the only thing lacking from this group is consistency. On their day, they can topple the big dogs without breaking a sweat with hidden gems in Jay (Kron) and Raj (indian), but when it's not their day, they cannot get much together. If they are able to hit a consistent key and hold it all season, they can certainly be the surprise of the division and finish a top the rest. They've held the Dark Horse title for far too many seasons, this could be the one they break out and start playing well, but in an interleague where the worst team is hardly a push-over, it may be too much here.
Best case record: 8-2
Probable record: 5-5
Oh-boy-look-at-that-collapse record: 3-7
4th - Simply Pool Souls - While 4th is certainly no 1st, Simply Pool Souls do have the talent to give the top dogs a run for their money. They have a lot of talent in their arsenal, and have added a few key players to their roster according to little birdies. A shock would be first, a surprise would be second, but no surprise for third. They have talent, but the over all talent in PRO this season might be a little too much though.
Best case record: 6-4
Probable record: 3-7
Oh-boy-look-at-that-collapse record: 0-10
Pacific Conference:
1st - Latin Pool Legends - Well they won it last year did they not?
Best case record: 10-0
Probable record: 7-3
Oh-boy-look-at-that-collapse record: 5-5
*They do tend to no-show more than talent at the Superbowl half time show.
2nd - Freedom - After having a perfect season, they made it all worth nothing. Everyone remembers your final game, and if their entire roster still holds for this season, then Freedom could very well duplicate last seasons in-season success, while only having playoff success on their mind.
Best case record: 10-0
Probable record: 7-3
Oh-boy-look-at-that-collapse record: 5-5
3rd - Straight Shots - They come in with turmoil with the vast majority of their interleague players playing in a new league, but they still hold true to the Straight Shot flag in interleagues, so far. Jon and Pita will be looked upon to carry every week as their depth may be a tad depleted with the player movement, but it is Straight Shots after all, and if you have 150 ready available interleague players, some have to be good right? They'll have the talent to win the conference over these other 3 without question, but chances they will are slim..
Best case record: 9-1
Probable record: 6-4
Oh-boy-look-at-that-collapse record: 3-7
4th - Dead Strokes - Coming into PRO, they have the daunting task of playing in a tough conference, though it's not like the Atlantic is much easier. Led by Roy and 'Chele, it will be interesting to see how they do as their roster could be poor, or could have the talent to hang with the other 7 teams in PRO. They've done well in WSOP the rest of the leagues here.
Best case record: 6-4
Probable record: 4-6
Oh-boy-look-at-that-collapse record: 1-9

Season 12 Finals
Pool Fiction [1st in Atlantic, 9-4 overall] vs Latin Pool Legends [2nd in Pacific, 7-6 overall]
Last week we saw Pool Fiction dispose of Break and Run while Latin Pool Legends squeak by 8 Ball Crushers then pound Freedom with a 4 man roster. In their only match up during the season, Pool Fiction were able to pull out a game 9 victory. Looking at the probable rosters, from top to bottom Pool Fiction certainly gets the nod as they will actually have a full roster. Brent will be there without question and will certainly be able to provide Pool Fiction a bit of a boost, and if Chris and Stu are able to help him out than LPL will be in deep trouble. Latin Pool Legends have two of the top three players in this match in Daru and MJ. Both of whom could very well take down Pool Fiction themselves. The added help of Tino, a veteran player who is no push over as well as Uriel, a veteran with a few camtasia comp. titles to his name give their top 2 players support down the roster. For Pool Fiction to succeed, they will need to target Daru and MJ. If Brent or Chris or Stu are able to get break against Daru and MJ in their second game, a break run is certainly capable and will swing the advantage heavily in their favor. Pool Fiction will need to play their game, and not LPL's because if you allow Daru and MJ to play their way, not only will you fall asleep, but you'll wake up with a loss. All four LPL players are quite reliable, so a no show or lack of players isn't that probable but is still something to look out for. In any other interleague it would be easy to give Pool Fiction the advantage, but here it's hard to bet against Latin Pool Legends.
Prediction -
Match 1: Latin Pool Legends win 5-3
Match 2: Latin Pool Legends win 5-4.

Round Two
Wednesday @ 6pm - Break and Run @ Pool Fiction
Season Series: Week 1 & 6 - PFN win 5-3.
Number of eligible players: BNR - 6, PFN - 6.
Break and Run were able to cruise past Extreme Cues Monday night and will need the same kind of effort tonight if they look to get past Pool Fiction. The bright spot for Break and Run is that both Mina and Jim are back so Jordy wont be looked upon to carry the entire load like usual. Looking at Pool Fictions eligible roster, it may look like just a credit list for a free win during the season. It's lacking the 'PFN talent' we've grown used to over the years. Sure they have Brent, but Chris is rarely around, Trey hasn't played since the Chicago Cubs won the world series and what on earth happened to Brian? Luckily for Brent, they are the home team so as long as they use it to their advantage they will be able to pull through. It'll be interesting to see how Mina performs against his old team as this match may very well come down to which team gives more support to Jordy and Brent. If Chris is able to show up then it'd be a bit easier to give the edge to Pool Fiction, but without him this will be a nail biter that will hopefully come down to Jordy and Brent in game 9.
Prediction - Break and Run win 5-4.

Round One
Monday @ 6pm - Extreme Cues @ Break and Run
This, surprisingly, will be a great match-up. Both sides were almost identical all season long with the tie break coming down to their overall win/loss, which was almost identical as well. Extreme Cues come into this match with arguably their top 6 players all eligible, while Break and Run also come into this match with 6 eligible. But with only 6 eligible, it'll be slim pickings to find a full roster and for Break and Run, one of those 6 is Mina who hasn't been around all that much in recent weeks but in reality, they have Jordy and that's all they need. Extreme Cues will need to target Jordy and be consistent from top to bottom as they have no stand out stars but as a team are better then Break and Run, but betting against Jordy is too tough, especially for an Extreme Cues that are hit or miss.
Prediction - Break and Run win 5-3.
Result - Break and Run win 5-1.
Tuesday @ 6pm - 8Ball Crushers @ Latin Pool Legends.
While I was wrong about last nights match being exciting, this one has to be better so it will be more exciting! LPL ended the season on quite a slump, while 8BC finished the season on fire, too bad that means all so little in the playoffs. After 8bc won their week 9 match against LPL, they caught fire while LPL figured they can coast the rest of the season and stay in second, including what I will assume is a toss to 8bc in their final match up. LPL are always a team that show with few but manage to win due to sheer talent, but now they face a serious issue. With only 4 players eligible for playoffs, they need at least 3 of them to show and getting a 75% showing rate from an LPL roster is hard enough during the season. Luckily you have the ever dependable Daru, Tino and Uriel who should be able to show, and if MJ completes the 4 then LPL are rolling. On the flip side you have an 8BC squad who have 7 very active members eligible, question then becomes can Niks bring 5 who can run with LPL? Players like Kron, JJ and Indian will be instrumental if 8bc look for the upset here. Daru should be able to bring a team that's eligible as long as he remembers to run tournaments for his players, and if Daru can get on a roll, bring on Freedom.
Prediction - Latin Pool Legends win 5-3.

Week Eleven
Last weeks results:
Break and Run defeat Sexy Poolerz 5-4 - Their first win since Safdar jumped ship, looks like he made the right call? ...
Straight Shots defeat Extreme Cues 5-3 - Along with the falling of Sexy Poolerz, Straight Shots winning streak sure makes this conference a mess.
Freedom defeat 8Ball Crushers 5-4 - Close call for the undefeated streak, 8bc almost kept their improbable winning streak alive.
Pool Fiction defeat Pool Dragonz 5-3 - Long season has finally come to an end for PDZ.
Latin Pool Legends defeat Deep Pockets 5-0 - Must have some deep pockets to be giving all these wins away.
Monday @ 6pm - Straight Shots [4-6] @ Sexy Poolerz [5-5]
Oh the playoff implications this holds. With a Straight Shots win, coupled with a Break and Run victory creates a 3 way tie for the final playoff spot. If TMZ covered Yahoo! Pool, we'd have an entire episode dedicated to us! Straight Shots have taken advantage of their soft mid-season schedule defeating the likes of DP, PDZ and EC in big fashion, now they only sit one match back of the playoffs, with a schedule that is on their side, but only if they win out. For Sexy Poolerz, last seasons collapse might be overshadowed by this seasons collapse. After being tied for first, with talks of them "clinching" a playoff spot well before the seasons end, now find them selves barely holding on to the final playoff spot. Key players in Cam, Kev and Craig have done nothing, since they haven't shown, and while Mike has done his best to carry, it's clear he cannot do it alone. Sexy Poolerz may be able to hold on to third, but they just wont have the talent to compete in the playoffs, if they even get there. Brice will need his best to be there for many reasons, to help him get to the playoffs, and then be eligible for the playoffs and with Shane boxed, that might bring them enough luck to get the win here. For Straight Shots, the win would be massive keeping their comeback streak alive. One side note though, lol @ their eligible players.
Prediction - 5-4 Sexy Poolerz
Tuesday @ 7pm - Break and Run [4-6] @ 8ball Crushers [4-6]
While the records show this to be an even match, looking at the teams you would expect this to be a blow out. While Break and Run have struggled with their "allstar recruits" playing like beer league vets, one of the few multi-season Break and Runners in Jordy has finally come back to old form, helping Break and Run snap their winless drought this past week. Looking at their roster, you see a lot of talent, with poor results. Why? Is it poor captaining? Is it the lack of them playing every week, only to get eligible and play PRO/other interleagues? Whatever it is, it has them on the brink of missing the playoffs for the first time in any interleague this season I do believe. 8bc have more or less clinched the final playoff spot in the Pacific Conference with Pool Dragonz dropping, and looking at their roster, they could very well pull off a few more wins before seasons end. Players like Raj (indian4life), Kron and JJ have been able to shine in the spot light, but somehow falter when they should win. Just like last season now, in order to defeat Break and Run, you'll have to get through Jordy, and if those 3 are able to show, this beer gut of mine believes that 8bc can pull it off, turning the Atlantic Conference into a giant disaster.
Prediction - 8Ball Crushers 5-3
Wednesday @ 6pm - Pool Fiction [7-3] @ Extreme Cues [6-4]
Opposite of the previous match, one would assume by looking at the standings this would be a close match, but this should be a blow out for PFN even if they sit their best in order to get others eligible for playoffs. Extreme Cues is a true mystery, I still cannot comprehend how they are where they are with the lack of talent they have, not to mention they only have 3 players eligible for the playoffs should they even make it. Pool Fiction on the other hand are no mystery, they are where they should be and come playoff time they'll have all the depth they need, unless a few comebacks end sooner then expected. This match shouldn't be too exciting, unless EC are able to pull off a few early wins but I doubt it, apologies.
Prediction - Pool Fiction 5-1
Wednesday @ 7pm - ??? [2-8] @ Deep Pockets [1-9]
Pool Dragonz withdraw to leave PRO with its first bye since Brian and Rank Monsters "sorta" withdrew.
Thursday @ 7pm - Latin Pool Legends [7-3] @ Freedom [10-0]
While the first 3 matches are great because of playoff implications, this match should be the best of the week simply due to the raw talent both sides sport. It's easy to argue that FR/LPL are 1/2 in PRO, followed by PFN and the rest of the Atlantic Conference, with whats left of the Pacific Conference well beyond that. LPL are always stacked, even when they show up without a full team. Led by Daru; Tino and whoever else shows up have been able to get the job done with their losses being by 1 game twice, and 2 games once. For Freedom, this is their last hurdle in what could be the first undefeated PRO season in years. While Petey will need to focus on getting a few more players eligible, those players are more then capable of taking down LPL, so their will be no loss their. Petey has plenty of weapons to choose from for this match, and while Daru is a weapon destroyer himself, if he cannot bring a full team it's hard to believe he can do it alone.
Prediction - 5-4 Freedom

Week Seven
In my absence we saw EC fall from grace, Freedom rise from the ashes, the self-acclaimed MVP after week one do.. nothing, while Pita continued to keep his winning to the weekends.
Last weeks results:
Straight Shots defeat 8Ball Crushers 5-1 - An easy question is to ask 8BC what the fiddlesticks is going on, but a better question is to ask Straight Shots, if this is the start of their comeback..
Sexy Poolerz defeat Extreme Cues 5-2 - A solid team that was off to a poor start beats the overrated team in fine fashion. Certainly will be a sign of things to come for SP, but will EC be able to salvage their hot start?
Pool Fiction defeat Break and Run 5-3 - With PFN being reloaded and a three way tie for first at the moment, is the conference theirs to lose?
Freedom defeat Pool Dragonz 5-2 - This past seasons runners up sure are running the wrong way this season.
Latino Pool Legends defeat Streak Breakerz 5-0 - If it wasn't for their week one win, SB might have had a chance to beat SP's dreadful 0-10 record in WSOP.
"Mid" Season report: (Listed by best record overall)
Freedom - Years ago Freedom couldn't win anything, but Petey kept at it and slowly his team started to build, and with a few titles this season, he may very well have his best roster ever with the likes of Andy, Ben, Matt, Nish, Trav, and even himself. He was a top 3 candidate for MVP last season having to carry the team, now it looks like no one will need to carry with that much talent, and with a schedule that includes only BNR and LPL as challenges the rest of the way, they might be able to set up cruise control.
Latino Pool Legends - The last season they played in PRO, they won, and while Ant has since departed from that team, it seems Daru doesn't mind. So far carrying the team on his shoulders this season. There's no question LPL will make the playoffs in the conference, and if they are able to get MJ and Kevin eligible with the likes of Tino and Uriel, they may very well go back "to" back in their seasons played.
Pool Fiction - Not only has mr_camtasia been able to pop out a second child, he's been able to help Pool Fiction return to the top in PRO. With Stu back from his stint with Break and Run/"retirement", Pool Fiction may very well boast the top duo in PRO. While the support players on this squad haven't done all that well this season, there is no question come playoff time, they are one team no one wants to face.
Sexy Poolerz - After a really poor start having everyone doubt Brice, it's clear Sexy Poolerz are making a push to top this conference, and they really can, seriously. Not since the days of Pete, Ste and Ketan has SP been so loaded. Mike, Craig, Kevin and Cam are deadly when on their game. The only issue is Craig likes to take naps right before a match, Cam retires twice a night and Kevin has his M.I.A.-stints. They've done well thus far though with Brice leading by example and doing his best to keep his team at the top, luckily for him if those aforementioned players can show on a regular basis, he can sit back with Petey and watch the wins roll in.
Extreme Cues - After what was a 4-0 start, EC were sitting on top of the world, but two losses later and the loss of their MVP and we see Extreme Cues sitting at 4-2, tied for first with much more talented teams and on the brink of collapse. EC does have the talent to stay with the group and crack the playoffs if players like Lewis, Dante and Stephen along with new acquisition Matt, are able to play on a consistent basis as a group. Fate certainly rests in their hands though with the schedule they have as they do have the talent to win enough in-conference games to stay in the top 3.
Break and Run - A season after winning it all, Break and Run may have been in ruins with Jordy not being able to carry every week. Luckily for them it seems their constant recruiting paid off again with Charlie and Safdar coming over. If Dina is able to play the likes of Charlie, Jordy, Gus, Crozz and Safdar every week, they certainly have the talent to finish at the top in the conference, but they'll need to be careful soon. With a hot SP team up this week, and Freedom next, they may find themselves in a hole soon, but with this new collection of players, they may very well be able to pull it off.
Pool Dragonz - Nothing has gone right this season at all for Pool Dragonz, and in all honesty it's probably all their fault. With them getting mad at the start of every match, it only hurts them as it seems they can't do anything right this season. Luckily for them, 8bc and SB are playing like Estonia in the World Football Championships, and a playoff spot should be theirs, then they'll pray for an upset and another miracle run.
Straight Shots - MY BOYS! If they were in the other conference, they'd be one game out of a playoff spot, instead they're light-years behind, but there should not be any panic, because I know they'll come back and win it all. I just know. Clearly the Gary experiment didn't work as I'm pretty sure he hasn't played since I went M.I.A., so that cannot be good. Players like Pita, Jon, Derrick and JD will need to be at their best, because they certainly are capable of a third straight late-season push, and more then likely will achieve it, because they will.
8Ball Crushers - Once the Dark Horses of IPA, now just "another team". After playing so well in WSOP and UIC in recent times, they sure have dropped the soap on this one. Is it because they finally had expectations? It's tough to see players like JJ do so poorly, but with the schedule they have, they certainly have a chance to pick up a handful of wins and crack the playoffs.
Streak Breakerz - Three players on your team have wins, one (who had the most) has left. Your league seems dead as well. I'm sorry, but you might as well turn this cellar into a wine cellar for your own good and enjoy it.
This weeks predictions:
Monday @ 6pm - Freedom [6-0] @ Extreme Cues [4-2]
Extreme Cues are on a two game losing streak in thanks to Pool Fiction, and Sexy Poolerz. Their opponents this week have beaten both this season, so my spidey senses are thinking this wont be easy at all for Extreme Cues. Freedom comes in rolling, and it doesn't look like their going to slow down anytime soon. Petey has been able bring in talent one by one, creating this Y!Pool masterpiece. He won't need to bring his top 5 here, if he's smart he'll be rotating those stars making sure they're all eligible and everyone gets to play. For Exteme Cues, it's not like that. Maria will need her top 5 players not only at the table, but on their game. Stephen, Lewis, Matt and Dante will all need to show up to give their captain a chance at ending their slide in a big way. This could be a great match to watch going down to the wire, but either way it's hard to side with war and go against Freedom.
Prediction - 5-1 Freedom
Tuesday @ 6pm - Straight Shots [1-5] @ Pool Fiction [4-2]
MY BOYS CONTINUE THEIR COMEBACK THIS WEEK! Well, if they do this comeback is for realsies because Pool Fiction is back to kicking ass, taking names and kicking ass again. Pool Fiction has bounced back from an even record and could very well be in sole possession of first place after this week, but they'll need to do so against a hungry SS squad. We can pretend that Shelle is the captain now so I can continue with this prediction. Shelle has great experience as captain and knows a thing or two about a thing or two, and if players like Pita, Jon and JD are able to play every week, she'll look like a genius when this masterpiece of a comeback finishes. Since I built up Straight Shots so much, it's only fitting I call them to win.
Prediction - 5-4 Straight Shots
Tuesday @ 7pm - Streak Breakerz [1-5] @ 8Ball Crushers [1-5]
In the match of the week, we see two teams looking to set themselves apart from the rest, by going backwards. Who will win this battle of futility? Assuming Streak Breakerz get players eligible, and show up with 5, this still probably wouldn't be too close. 8Ball Crushers are a great team, but not at this level. Think of a team in European football who win tier 2 every season outright, then get sent back down the next at the top level. Luckily for them they are capable of upsets but will need to beat up on teams like Streak Breakerz to be put in a position to gain something from an upset. Hopefully Streak Breakerz show, having a team drop out is never good, and hopefully someone else wins a game for them.
Prediction - 5-1 8BC
Wednesday @ 7pm - Break and Run [3-3] @ Sexy Poolerz [4-2]
While one of Break and Runs newest recruits came in in a losing effort last week, the new duo of Charlie and Safdar will give a lot of teams headaches in the near future, and lucky Brice gets to be the first one to deal with it. Break and Run will need to come out swinging, and will need to do their best to play their players in advantagous spots in the first 5 because this may be Brice's break out match. No one believed in Brice's prediction at the beginning of the season of Sexy Poolerz being a top team, but not only would a win here put that to rest, it would give Sexy Poolerz a great shot at finishing first in the conference. If Brice is able to bring the likes of Kev, Mike and even Craig to the table this week, and throw in any of the great role players he has, not since the days of Pete, Ste and Ketan has a prediction been like this.
Prediction - 5-3 Sexy Poolerz
Thursday @ 7pm - Pool Dragonz [2-4] @ Latin Pool Legends [4-2]
If Pool Dragonz want to show last seasons playoff run wasn't a fluke, and they're more then just a team that will make the playoffs because of a horrible conference, you might say this is one hell of a week to do so. While LPL boasts great talent in the likes of Daru, Luiz, Tino and Uriel, Pool Dragonz have shown their capability many times before of causing upsets, even without the likes of the marble-loving Pommy. Pool Dragonz have been on the edge of having their heads blow up due to anger in past weeks and one wonders why. With a PDZ child on the brink of being born, they could really use the dept on their roster. If players like DJ, Drew, Pommy and Hani are able to play with a clear mind, they stand a chance, but if no one can beat Daru early in the match, buenas noche.
Prediction - 5-2 Latin Pool Legends

Week Three
Last weeks results:
Freedom defeats Straight Shots 5-2 - If Pita, Gary and Craig can't help Straight Shots win, who can?
Sexy Poolerz defeats 8Ball Crushers 5-3 - Clearly they don't need Pete, Ste and Ketan to bring sexy back!
Pool Fiction defeats Streak Breakerz 5-0 - If only people knew Pool Fiction were only getting started..
Break and Run defeats Pool Dragonz 5-1 - It's one thing to lose a best of 3 finals after being up 1-0, but it's another to be crushed in the "revenge" match.
Extreme Cues defeats Latino Pool Legends 5-4 - They won 5-3 with 3 people, lose 5-4 with 4. Will we ever get to find out what happens with a full team?!
This weeks matches:
Tuesday @ 6pm - Streak Breakerz [1-1] @ Break and Run [1-1]
After being thumped by Pool Fiction, the road for Joe & co. does not get any easier. I know it's early, but they're tied for second in the conference, but have only had wins from TWO players. Either they'll get their act together and get wins from others, or just start falling down the ladder, and they'll need to get multiple players with wins this week otherwise they'll be going the wrong way in snakes and ladders. Break and Run followed up their defeat to Pool Fiction with a big win over the runners up from last season, and with the likely hood of Croz, Jordy, and new-guy Mina playing 11+ matches this season being quite high, Break and Run will certainly have a shot at repeating, if those players can play well. Unless Joe & co. have some tricks up their sleeves, Break and Run should have another easy match.
Prediction - 5-1 Break and Run.
Tuesday @ 7pm - Latin Pool Legends [1-1] @ Straight Shots [0-2]
Sometimes, less is more. More wins that is. So who will show this week? It's easy to assume that Daru & co. will have a full team now that PRO has been underway for some time now, and against SS, having 5 is always a good start. While Straight Shots are 0-2, you can't argue that they don't have a good enough team. A trio of Gary, Pita and Craig can easily be argued to be able to carry against any other team here, and all 3 need to be ready to go this week if they look to break out of their slump before falling into a hole in the highly competitive Atlantic Conference. With a man who has won 4 of the first 5 tournaments this season, I'm jumping on the Pita band-wagon and hoping he has enough teammates on the wagon to help him out this week.
Prediction - 5-3 Straight Shots
Wednesday @ 6pm - 8Ball Crushers [0-2] @ Extreme Cues [2-0]
Here we have two teams, who seem to be on opposite ends of what I had predicted. While it's early, 8BC have yet to live up to the expectations I thought they could achieve based on other interleagues. 8BC do have the talent to be a favorite for the 3 spot in the Pacific, especially with the pick up of JJ from, ironically, EC. Extreme Cues were supposed to be a good team, but after defeating LPL they top the Atlantic Conference after 2 weeks. Early? Quite. Once they play the likes of Pool Fiction and Break and Run, it will be interesting to see how good they actually are. That being said, it's been 2 weeks. Stop whining because you're not every ones pick to win it all. You earn that, don't ask for it. This week will be a close match, pull out a win and you may very well earn, just a little more respect.
Prediction - 5-3 Extreme Cues
Wednesday @ 7pm - Pool Dragonz [0-2] @ Sexy Poolerz [1-1]
At the start of the season, this week for Pool Dragonz would have been a sigh of relief, sadly, their tough schedule start to the season only continues. After big losses to LPL and BNR where they only recorded 2 wins, they may be playing a Sexy Poolerz team that are in the midst of hitting their stride. With Kev, Missy and Mike all having played, it will be something to look out for once Brice is able to get all 3 at the table in the same night. For Pool Dragonz, starting 0-3 after being in the finals last season is surprising to say the least. Nothing really changed from last season in reference to their line up, the only change has been DJ and his lack of pace to repeat his MVP-esque season. We all know Pom loves his new marbles, so DJ will need to get started on the repeat if he looks to keep his squad out of the cellar.
Prediction - 5-4 Sexy Poolerz
Thursday @ 7pm - Freedom [2-0] @ Pool Fiction [2-0]
While this match will certainly have all the fire works everyone wants following July 1st/July4th depending where you live, it wont be the fireworks that had these two teams screaming at each other like seasons past. The rivalry between these two sides have long faded from the bitching, and has turned into highly competitive matches. Freedom boasts a more talented roster this season with the additions of ex-PFNer's in Andy and Nish, but Pool Fiction just has more talent. With Chris' return, Pool Fiction brings back their solid ace that can always be counted on for when Cubby has to play and bangs like it's college. Trey has found his groove in interleagues and started this season off nicely, and with a background cast including Brian and Brent, it's hard to imagine it'd be legal if Pool Fiction brought it any more talent that once retired.. (Me? Foreshadow? Never..)
Prediction - 5-3 Pool Fiction

Week Two
Week 1 Results:
Extreme Cues def. Straight Shots 5-2 - We all knew EC would be good this season, but dayum Straight Shots, better hope Gary starts playing.
Pool Fiction def. Break and Run 5-3 - Based off the rosters, it really could have gone either way, the rematch will be a tasty one.
Freedom def. Sexy Poolerz 5-1 - While everyone may be thinking Brice is a fool, Freedom simply came out firing in this one. Once he gets his team together, SP will be one to look out for.
Streak Breakerz def. 8Ball Crushers 5-3 - Got this one wrong, fire me please!
Latin Pool Legends def. Pool Dragonz 5-3 - Can't bring 3 players to every match, not sure how you can only bring 3 when it takes 4 to run a swiss only hours earlier.
Monday @ 6pm - Freedom [1-0] vs Straight Shots [0-1]
Freedom had the biggest win in week 1, and may very well once again in week 2. With players like Andy and Mike yet to play for Petey, he certainly has a rotation to thump teams every week, should they actually show. Straight Shots on the other hand, not much of a rotation, yet anyways. Hopefully Gary, Shelle, Pita or whoever is running that show, have some tricks up their sleeves because their week 1 effort wasn't that great, and while it's only one week, they better make sure it doesn't continue. Freedom always have great starts to interleagues, while Straight Shots seem to always start slow, so based off that very meaningful observation, Freedom should win, unless Pita continues his hot form to this season. 3/3 in tournaments so far? DAYUM PITA YOU DA MAN!
Prediction - Freedom 5-3, Pita 3-1.
Tuesday @ 6pm - 8Ball Crushers [0-1] vs Sexy Poolerz [0-1]
These two teams lost last week, and sadly, one will do so again, stunning observation amirite? The crushers, who were once my dark horses of IPA once upon a time, have the talent to come back and win without a doubt, but so does SP if Brice gets all his boys to the yard cause damn right, his milkshake is better then yours. Kev can carry against just about any team, so getting him is almost as necessary as internet these days. For 8bc, the same lineup can very well take out SP. They have a solid 5 players that can win 2-3 on any night as long as luck is on their side.
Prediction - Sexy Poolerz 5-3
Tuesday @ 7pm - Streak Breakers [1-0] vs Pool Fiction [1-0]
These two undefeated sides square off in a match that isn't match of the week. THRILLING! Streak Breakers were able to get past 8bc last week in thanks to Matt and Joe, who apparently is going to win MVP, look out Chris. Pool Fiction is a bit tougher then 8bc some might say, and Joe will need help if he looks to lead his side, past a side of his past. Pool Fiction has rebuilt since some poor season on their behalf, and rebuilt they have. After being the reigning champions, you could put forth an early but useless argument that the championship will come down to either PFN or LPL. Valid, but useless. Pool Fiction have a small but consistent line-up, and that shouldn't be an issue at all this week.
Prediction - Pool Fiction 5-2
Wednesday @ 7pm - Pool Dragonz [0-1] vs Break and Run [0-1]
After reaching the finals last season, both teams haven't got off to a start to put them back on track, but a win here could. Pool Dragonz failed pretty hard last week, unable to take advantage of a 3-man LPL squad last week, while Break and Run just didn't have the fire power to play with Pool Fiction. Pool Dragonz will need Pom and his marbles to show up for the match if they look to do what they did in Match 1 of the finals last season. For Break and Run, they're missing their playoff MVP who helped beat Pool Dragonz so they'll be looking a tad different this season, but should still have the upper hand if they're able to bring their top 5.
Prediction - Break and Run 5-3
Thursday @ 7pm - Latin Pool Legends [1-0] vs Extreme Cues [1-0]
In the final match of the week we see two teams who won with ease last week. LPL were able to win with only 3 players, while EC made quick work of SS. Daru & co. will need to bring more then 3 if they want to win this week though. Extreme Cues is certainly a team that, with a bit of luck, can make a run to the title match this season. They have a solid core that can each pick up 2 wins a night, but at the same time, with no "superstar" on the team, every night will need to be a team effort, so falling behind early against LPL may be lights out. For LPL, they'd be able to snatch a top 2 spot in the conference playing all season with only Tino, Kev and Daru, but it's certainly not the safe way to do so. There's no question Daru & co. will be able to pick up a few more players, which is pretty bad news for everyone else.
Prediction - Latin Pool Legends 5-3
Extreme Cues def. Straight Shots 5-2 - We all knew EC would be good this season, but dayum Straight Shots, better hope Gary starts playing.
Pool Fiction def. Break and Run 5-3 - Based off the rosters, it really could have gone either way, the rematch will be a tasty one.

Week One
Monday @ 6pm - Straight Shots vs Extreme Cues
The opening match-up for Season 12 is an interesting one to say the least. Neither team has had much success in PRO, and neither have much expectations this season, so both will be fighting to earn the respect of PRO. Straight Shots come into this match as the favorites one can imagine, and while it's not a bad idea to note their poor starts in PRO, they have a much different look this season compared to seasons past. Players like Dave, Nish, and Mike are gone, and the likes of Jon and Pita aren't being counted on to play every week. Gary will be leading the way and he'll need to lead by example at the tables. Straight Shots usually have a roster of 67 every season, but Gary will need to find a consistent core to play every week or he'll be leading Straight Shots down a path many other captains have in the past. For EC, Maria will be leading a team with minimal expectations, but have already shown great results in other interleagues. PRO is something special though where the stakes are raised and she'll need to raise her game just as much. I predicted these teams 4th and 3rd respectively, and I'm feeling a close match going down to the end, it just depends on which team brings more talent in the opener.
Prediction - 5-4 Straight Shots
Monday @ 7pm - Break and Run vs Pool Fiction
Now here is a headliner. Break and Run come into the season with a target on their back being the reigning champions. As such, everyone is gunning for you, and with a revamped roster, Kerry & co. might be in great shape to spoil your opener. With Joe back, Dina & co. will have a nice replacement for Gus should he wonder back to LPL, but if he stays then Break and Run may once again be the team to beat, even if Kerry tries to say otherwise. With Mattski, Brent, Brian and Trey, Pool Fiction has all the tools necessary to rise back to the top, and having a statement match in their opener is the way to go. With so many heavy hitters in this match it'll obviously go far, but Pool Fiction may just have one too many for Break and Run.
Prediction - 5-3 Pool Fiction
Tuesday @ 7pm - Sexy Poolerz vs Freedom
In the first cross-conference match of the season, we ironically see the two teams who choked playoff spots away last season. Both teams have reloaded, and while Freedom has been predicted to finish along side LPL at the top, SP has had a different fate, being predicted at the bottom, which is not to the pleasure of Brice. SP have a good roster that's not questionable, this season of PRO may very well boast the most talent in recent seasons. But with carry format, going up 3-2 is never enough, even being up 4-0 is never safe depending on who your opponents 5th is. Sexy Poolerz lack that bang and will need to be great from top to bottom every match if they look to win, except against inconsistent squads like Freedom. Freedom has brought in new talent which will come in handy since a) Trav has disappeared since his departure from the real world into the world of middle eastern food, and b) they could use it. With added depth, Petey will be able to pick players each week instead of chase them around, which should help them, unless they all run away.
Prediction - 5-3 Freedom
Wednesday @ 7pm - 8Ball Crushers vs Streak Breakerz
Time to make up another story-line for yet another opening match. Two teams who have never played a PRO match before, will do so against each other midweek. 8bc are led by Brandon, who I will assume is new to PRO, possibly altogether, but has players who have experience in carry format which will help. Streak Breakerz are led by Tyson who might be new to PRO altogether as well, but has a co-captain in Joe who has experience in PRO and should help quite a bit. 8bc hasn't played too many interleagues lately outside of UIC, while SB have been in and out of interleagues all around. While neither team has too many players signed up, going off UIC rosters, 8 Ball Crushers should have the better line up, but it doesn't mean Streak Breakerz will be an easy opponent. I can't comment on much else but it'll be interesting to see who shows for each squad and how they do, good luck both!
Prediction - 5-4 8Ball Crushers
Thursday @ 7pm - Latin Pool Legends vs Pool Dragonz
In the final match up, we have the Season 10 champs against the Season 11 runner ups, correlation? That should be good enough. LPL return to PRO with what I imagine will be the same line-up they won with, but without Ant. Will that hurt them? Seeing as how they slapped everyone around that season, it shouldn't hurt too much, but if they are without Gus as well then LPL may actually have trouble with some teams, which hasn't been the issue since the days of MLD when there were many stacked teams. For Pool Dragonz, it may be a very long season, and not long like last season. With a roster that will probably have gotten smaller, somehow, DJ will need to carry the load once again, and someone else, probably Drew, will have too as well if Pool Dragonz wish to crack the playoffs. If Pommy takes a break from marbles, and Gus sticks with Break and Run, Pool Dragonz has a chance, but if Gus comes back and throws marbles at Pommy, it should be a fair welcome back for LPL.

Season 12
Welcome to Season 12 everyone! After being persuaded to come back, I agreed to do another season, thankfully the quality of predictions was non-negotiable.
Welcome to new leagues, thanks for playing leagues that left, and welcome back to leagues that stayed. Congrats winners, better luck next time those who were defeated. Welcome new admins and rules, bye bye old admins and rules.
On to predictions!
Atlantic Conference:
1st - Pool Fiction
While the name Pool Fiction is a name that's easy to predict at the top, Kerry & co. have had a tough go recently with many seasons of results that aren't typical of Pool Fiction, an obvious reaction to so many of her superstars moving on, something I cannot do. But her team is slowly being rebuilt and certainly has the capabilities of winning this conference. Players like Mattski, Brian and Trey can carry against anyone, their only issue will be depth but we'll see as the season goes on.
2nd - Break and Run
The returning champs became champs because of 3 players. Ross, Jordy and Gus carried the team all season, and with Gus more then likely gone to LPL, Break and Run will have a tough time matching the gap of quality. Over the past few years, depth has always been an issue for Dina & co., leaving them to hold off on many interleagues while the ones they're in, they seem to do well with such few players. Replacing Gus will be tough, but with Jordy, all you need is a bowl of popcorn and some lube.
3rd - Extreme Cues
Oh yes, Extreme Cues, predicted third. Led by a girl who defeated Pool Fiction all by herself, Extreme Cues have talent to finish the season strong with players like Aaron, Mitch, Maria, Stephen and JJ. While I doubt Maria will be able to do the same against PFN this season, they should be able to handle the rest of the leagues talent wise, with the only thing holding them back from 1st or 2nd being their captain. First time captains are always well, new. New to strategy, new to whatever else captains do, and in the toughest interleague around, it's a tough place to get your feet wet. Hopefully she sticks with it, and if she learns quickly then I see EC finishing even higher.
4th - Straight Shots
4th?! Deal with it. They have seemed to have lost a few players, which isn't good for a team that struggled last season. Gary is their captain though, which is good because they'll have him every week to play along with Jon and Pita. This squad is always a team that will either show up, or completely be gone, and even if they get lucky, a 13 week season which is unlucky, will be too much to rely on for luck.
5th - Sexy Poolerz
Someone has got to finish last, sorry. Brice will be leading a squad that has mixed expectations. Last season they started 3-2, before losing their last 5 in one hell of a fall from grace. For a moment they shook off their WSOP labels as losers, but seemed to come back into it. Sure they're doing well in UIC as one of the predictors mentioned, but that's the Emerald Division. Just about every Diamond Division team will be your opponents. You will certainly win a few, and you have the potential to win more then a few, you'll just have to show me first.
Pacific Conference:
1st - Latin Pool Legends
If you don't predict LPL to finish first, you're clearly not basing anything on talent. They've proven time after time they are the favorites just by signing up. With a line-up that should include Tino, Gus, Daru, Luis and Uriel, I can get away with saying no more..
2nd - Freedom
Like SP, Freedom choked their season away pretty hard, but have certainly refuelled for this season. They've brought in great new additions with Mike and Nish, which will help as Travis is still over seas doing what men do. Petey who finished a few chokes shy of being able to give himself MVP will have a more consistent line-up, which might be the missing pieces to his already talented, but inconsistent line-up. They can certainly win it all, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if they finished last, again..
3rd - 8 Ball Crushers
A league new to PRO, full of names no one knows, finishing ahead of last seasons runners up? Sure why not. 8bc are a talented bunch, and completely unknown to just about everyone. Players like Ifran, Niks and Brandon are all capable of winning a few games each every match, and couple that with the randoms that I don't know, then they certainly have the capabilities of doing quite well.
4th - Pool Dragonz
4th?! Deal with it. Beyond Drew, DJ, Christy, Charles, and Ash, who do you really have? We all know Pom is too busy with his new set of marbles to play, and Hani hasn't been on much as of late, so depth is incredibly important for Drew & co. You had a magical run last season, and you certainly can repeat it this season, it'll just be a touch harder, but I know you guys can because hey, I predicted you 4th..
5th - Streak Breakerz
It certainly is picking a team to finish last as I do believe this SB side can and probably has defeated teams like PDZ, 8bc and FR in recent matches, but it seems SB is completely lacking the wow factor. Joe is captaining, so a team will be brought for sure. A talented bunch as well as shown in other interleagues, but carry format is something special. A 4-1 lead can turn into a loss pretty quickly against many players competing here, you'll need a blocker. Joe, bring a cock blocker onto the team or I feel you'll be losing plenty of close matches all season long.
My random predictions? Only one team will have double digit wins, no one will have double digit losses, and the MVP will need to have 17 wins (Thanks Nish for fixing the site so I do not need to scour pages to update MVP lists myself for fun, I can just steal yours!)

Season 11 Championship
After never previously posting a play-off prediction in my previous two seasons here, and missing both the quarter final and semi final matches that took place in the same week, I thought it was best to start my PRO Playoff prediction "career" with a bang in a finals that looks quite unattractive from afar.
Firstly, congrats to Jordy for winning his second consecutive PRO MVP title, very rare for anyone to go back to back in any interleague, especially in carry format. Another congrats to Miscues and Break and Run for winning their respective conferences, but a larger congrats for Pool Dragonz who join Break and Run in the finals after an incredibly improbable run that no one would have predicted.
Break and Run finished the season 8-2 and in first place, while Pool Dragonz finished 4-6 and needed a week 10 win just to make the playoffs. Break and Run won their semi-final match over Dead Strokes (who upset Pool Fiction in the earlier round) with a convincing 5-0 defeat. Pool Dragonz had defeated Freedom 5-4 to get into the playoffs in the final week of the season, then went on to another game 9 win over Straight Shots in the semi's, finishing it off with a shocking 5-1 win over Miscues. Now, after two consecutive game 9 wins over lesser teams, how did they run right over MC? Well, since I have no idea how it went down, either MC showed with very few, or they all just took it way to lightly, or PDZ just hit one hell of a key. A key they'll need to hold if they look to have any shot against Break and Run..
In their only match-up, Break and Run more or less ran over them with a 5-1 win. Predicting this should be easy, since everyone thinks Break and Run will win this in their sleep. For Pool Dragonz to win this, it'll be from a team effort. I cannot see (sorry) one or two people from Pool Dragonz winning 2 or 3 from Break and Run each night, they'll need to head into the extra games up 4-1 or 3-2 at the least, unless they pull off more miracles as they have previously. So does this mean Break and Run will win easily? Miscues was suppose to win easily too. Sure they have Jordy, Gus, Ross and Croz, but with Croz gone and the rest of the Break and Run team not exactly players you'd pick to play in a finals, they will need to carry the burden, so if one of them loses, or fails to show, a large door opens for the Pool Dragonz. Only Jordy (Last season with T8B) has been in a position to carry the team all the way through a match, so it's a real guessing game with Ross and Jim if they're able to win 3 games in a night if they have too.
DJ carried the load all season for PDZ and I wouldn't be surprised if he is doing so again in the playoffs. Charles had a surprisingly solid season, and will need to continue such form against Break and Run. Both Drew and Hani will need to make amends for their poor regular season with quality wins at the right time if Pool Dragonz looks to win this. DJ had shown he was capable of carrying them, and Charles was able to carry them when it mattered both. If they both continue their hot streaks, coupled with strong play from the rest of the PDZ squad, this finale will be nothing near boring.
It was only a few years ago when the little Pool Dragonz of IPA beat the top dogs in Straight Shots, so Pool Dragonz have a history of upsets, will it continue here?
I have a feeling Break and Run will win the series 2-1, with both of their wins being of the 5-1, 5-2 nature, while Pool Dragonz takes them to a game 8 or 9 for their only win. Though at this point, anything is possible, right Kevin Garnett?
Best of luck to both sides this week, and good luck where you need it most.

Week Ten
Apologies for missing last weeks predictions, I had a never-ending weekend.
Week 9 results:
Straight Shots defeat Freedom 5-2 - After a incredibly dreadful start, Straight Shots finally got out of the cellar with a convincing win over the then second place team in the conference. Straight Shots sure are streaking at the right time, while Freedom are going in the wrong direction.
Break and Run defeat Sexy Poolerz 5-0 - That's one way to clinch top spot in a struggling conference. Congrats to Break and Run, while Sexy Poolerz are struggling to take advantage of their good start to the season.
Pool Fiction defeat Dead Strokes 5-1 - Big win for Pool Fiction as they control their own playoff destiny sitting one win up on last spot in the conference. For Dead Strokes it's the same ol same ol.
Miscues defeat Pool Dragonz 5-2 -With nothing on the line for Miscues and everything for Pool Dragonz, the nothings showed they were everything with a big win, putting Pool Dragonz in a pickle this week.
Current MVP standings:
mc_lxl_nerd.herd_xlx - 14-4
bnr_xlx_skill_xlx - 12-3

How each team can make the play-offs in the final week:
Atlantic Conference
Miscues:
Don't withdraw and you'll be first.
Straight Shots:
Win and you're second seed.
If you lose and Freedom wins - If Freedom wins by a score of 5-3 or 5-4, you will be second. If Freedom wins 5-2, 5-1, or 5-0, you will be third.
If you lose and Pool Dragonz wins - If you lose by a score of 5-3 or 5-4, you will be second, if you lose 2-5 they will hold the tie break and 1-5 or 0-5 will place them above you regardless.
Freedom:
Win and you're in.
If Straight Shots lose and you win, you finish second due to tie break.
If Straight Shots win and you win, you finish third due to tie break.
Lose and you're out
Pool Dragonz:
Win and you're in.
If Straight Shots win and you win, you finish third.
If Straight Shots lose and you win, you must hope SS lose by a score of 2-5, 1-5 or 0-5 to claim second. If Straight Shots lose 3-5 or 4-5, you will finish third.
Lose and you're out.
Pacific Conference
Break and Run:
See Miscues.
Pool Fiction:
Win, and you're second.
Lose, and you're second, regardless.
Dead Strokes:
Win, and you're third.
Sexy Poolerz:
Win by a score of 5-3 to tie the head to head at 1-1, the match head to head at 8-8, but win by having one more win then DS and finish third in the conference.
Win by a score of 5-2, 5-1, or 5-0 and win the second tie breaker either 8-7, 8-6, or 8-5 and finish third in the conference.
Win by a score of 5-4, and lose the second tie breaker 8-9 and finish fourth in the conference.
Sadly, there is no possibility for a pie eating competition, thanks a lot :(
If there are mistakes then please comment and I will fix. It is easier figuring it out for your own team then for me to figure them out for all 8 teams, especially when a Canadian wrote the rules.
This weeks predictions: (Number of players to get eligible for playoffs in brackets)
Monday @ 7pm - Straight Shots (4) @ Miscues (1)
Not a whole lot at stake here. Miscues will finish first regardless, they will just have have their MVP hopefuls try to push their records to the top. If this match was after the Freedom/Pool Dragonz, the mindset of Straight Shots would be more focused on a goal, but since they will not know whether they need a match win, or just 3 wins, they'll need to bring out their big guns and try and topple the top dogs. Mike has been the lone bright spot on a Straight Shots squad that changes more then my underwear. They'll need their captain to not only show, but play to his potential along with Nish if they look to take down the trio of Ant, Zach and Ben. With Straight Shots following last seasons form and getting strong at the end, and Miscues not having anything to play for, I imagine Straight Shots first playoff match will be in AMU.
Prediction - 5-2 Straight Shots
Wednesday @ 6pm - Sexy Poolerz (2) @ Dead Strokes (1)
No implications here right? Dead Strokes for yet another season are looking to squeak in on the final week. Lucky for them, they have a much better chance this season then seasons past. With Ashton and Corey actively headlining this team in interleagues around, those 2 will most certainly be here this week and when on their game, they can carry against just about anyone. For Sexy Poolerz, they'll be trying to salvage and don't throw this season away. They started off well in cross conference play, then had Cat Women carry them against Pool Fiction, but since then? It's been down hill, 4 in a row to be exact. Many of their members are changing their ID's to n00bsquad_'s, which are fitting given their recent play. Sexy Poolerz havn't made the playoffs in anything outside of GIT in what seems like forever. It was looking good, but now, it's looking bleek. They'll need whoever shows up to play like they were earlier in the season, otherwise they'll need to change to osamasquad_ and just hide.
Prediction - 5-3 Dead Strokes.
Thursday @ 7pm - Break and Run (0) vs Pool Fiction (1)
With nothing at stake in their final match of the season for the second straight season, Pool Fiction look to get Cubby eligible and ride out the match. Unlike last season where Latino Pool Legends basically tossed all the games to Pool Fiction, look for Break and Run to bring the usuals as no one else has a chance at being eligible, and go for another 5-0 win. Jordy will be looking to up his MVP bid, and if Pool Fiction come to the table looking to compete hard for a win, then he'll be met. But will Pool Fiction care? In a game that bring so much stress, is it OK to have a casual game? I have a feeling Kerry and co. will take advantage of the lack of stress associated and play for fun, and get burned, as Break and Run will no doubt keep fun in the background as they look for another 5-0 victory.
Prediction - 5-1 Break and Run
Thursday @ 7pm - Freedom (2) vs Pool Dragonz (.5, it's Pommy)
Every league has a rival league that gets messy at the table, but here we see a friendly rivalry with so much at stake, it very well could get messy. The Canucks here not only captain their teams, but are the sole reason they're even in this opportunity. A combined 22 wins between friends DJ and Petey certainly puts the expectations on those two. Petey has had to carry the load in the second half of the season as Matt left pool and the rest of Freedom were struggling, while DJ had been carrying the team the entire season. With Trav off to Turkey land, the pressure is squarely on Petey to perform. He has shown in the past he is capable of carrying against everyone, and certainly Pool Dragonz as he +4'ed em in their earlier match up. But if Petey is out early, who is left? Drew and DJ are two who can just as well carry against the best of them, and you know their focus will be 100% on this, too not only earn bragging rights over Petey, but earn a playoff birth in their first PRO season. With Pool Dragonz as the home squad, they'll need to plan to take out Petey early, but I do see him squeaking it out just once more.
Prediction - 5-4 Freedom.

Week Eight
Good week to be a day late huh?
Last weeks results:
Straight Shots defeats Miscues 5-4 - Seems like Nish carried the load this week, who seems like he's back in top gear which is great news for SS as they look to come back from a slow start
Break and Run defeats Pool Fiction 5-1 - Break and Run have been rolling all season and it doesn't look like anyone in the conference can stop them.
Dead Strokes defeats Sexy Poolerz 5-3 - Chele & Co. were able to bounce back and avoid being 2 games back and are now tied for second place, should shape up to be a great finish to the season.
Freedom defeats Pool Dragonz 5-4 - A match closer then it should've been, but it seems like Freedoms captain finally played like a man, but that only raises questions about the rest of the team.
MVP Standings:
mc_underdogg_ - 11-4
pdz_XRANCIDX - 11-5
bnr_xlx_skill_xlx - 10-2
bnr_cr0zzy - 8-3
fr_ll_eskimo_ownage_ll - 8-3
This week:
Tuesday @ 6pm - Pool Fiction [3-4] @ Sexy Poolerz [3-4]
With 3 weeks left, we see two teams that each have 3 wins on the season, both being surprises in their own way. Pool Fiction got thumped last week, and if I recall correctly, they're 1-2 in conference play, certainly not the dominating efforts of past PFN. The last time these two sides met, SP were able to win 5-4 due to Cat Women and her super powers, will she be able to repeat her performance? Sexy Poolerz are coming off a loss themselves and are starting to slide at the wrong time. If they are able to repeat their win from 3 weeks prior then I will consider SP a legit contender, but until then.
Prediction - 5-4 Pool Fiction
Tuesday @ 6pm - Break and Run [6-1] @ Dead Strokes [3-4]
Both sides are coming off wins, and it really seems like they are continuing last seasons runs. Break and Run were more or less quite dominant throughout the season, while Dead Strokes struggled all the way along losing out on the playoffs by 1 match, and with a three way tie with 3 weeks to go, not a bad bet to bet the same. Break and Run are rolling, led by Jordy, Croz and Ross. Their roster certainly isn't as deep as it once was, and with a few of their interleague players only getting eligible the day of, it may put a hamper on the team, but they have shown that they're able to get them eligible into the match and produce these great results. For Dead Strokes, they have the talent to get there, but it's certainly avoiding them. Ashton will need to play more then 2 matches in 7 weeks for DS to do well, Corey needs to stop losing, and Roy & Steven need to revert to their old school form when they were atop MVP standings. Is this the week they all come through and show Dead Strokes as a force? Better late then never.
Prediction - 5-3 Dead Strokes
Thursday @ 6pm - Straight Shots [3-4] @ Pool Dragonz [2-5]
With both Pacific matches on one day, seems like it's only fitting to hold both Atlantic matches on one day as well. We start here with a Straight Shots squad that showed Miscues that this conference isn't completely theirs, though, with second place being 2 games back with 3 weeks to go, it'll take a conference effort to help topple MC. Straight Shots are slowly starting to put together wins, 3-1 in their last 4, which like last seasons late season run, was enough to take them to the finals. They certainly have the talent to do the same, but making the playoffs is the bigger question. Pool Dragonz led by DJ in more then one way have lost a lot of 4-5 games, which I'm sure makes them wish they had the Pommy of 3 years ago who could close even a whores legs. PDZ won the first meeting 5-4, and have lost two matches since by the same score, so it's clear this will be going to the 9th, but who's going to win?
Prediction - 5-4 Straight Shots
Thursday @ 7pm - Miscues [5-2] @ Freedom [3-4]
Even though Ant & Co. are coming off a loss, Miscues don't have a whole lot to worry about in losing the conference title as it'll take a conference effort to push them from #1, and judging by the way this conference is going, it probably wont happen. Miscues have gotten 75% of their wins from 3 players who have played in 95% of matches, top trio for sure. Freedom won a close match last week over Pool Dragonz, and it seems captain Petey was the one who carried the torch, which makes you wonder, where was the rest of his team? Matt seems like he's gone for good, but players like Travis, Dan, Cam and Ebs (despite her early season brilliance) have not fared well at all. While Pete is good, he's not someone who can carry every week, especially win another 4 off of Miscues, but then again, this is Freedom we're talking about who probably find a needle in a haystack quicker then they could tell you what sound a cow makes.
Prediction - 5-3 Freedom

Week Seven
Last weeks results:
Pool Fiction defeat Dead Strokes 5-0 - Well, not much to say here. Pool Fiction picked up a big win and set up a great match this week where they could possibly move within one game of first place, while Dead Strokes should hope this isn't the start of a free fall.
Break and Run defeat Sexy Poolerz 5-2 - Break and Run continue their dominance as they limited Catwomen and the rest of her super heroes to 2 wins.
Straight Shots defeat Freedom 5-4 - Close match but Straight Shots jump from last to a tie for 2nd, n what is shaping up to be a horrible conference beyond Miscues.
Miscues defeat Pool Dragonz 5-4 -With the win, Miscues open up a 3 game lead over second place and with only four games to go, a win this week and they clinch a playoff berth.
The MVP race that changes more then the view count on that Sammie blog:
pdz_XRANCIDX - 10-4
bnr_xlx_skill_xlx - 9-2
mc_underdogg_ - 8-3
pfn_spc_shogun - 7-4
sp_CatNapper_69 - 7-4
It's also safe to say bnr_Xx_APOCALIPSYS_xX has been eliminated from MVP contention with his stellar win %.
Monday @ 7pm - Miscues [5-1] @ Straight Shots [2-4]
If this was WSOP, this would have serious standing implications but while Miscues have carried over their success, Straight Shots have not. The Straight Shots crew have really cycled through players over the course of the season, and while they're still somehow in the thick of the race, if Shelle and Ben can start putting together dominant teams, then they have a great shot of winning it all, but until then, guess they'll just have to focus on running 1600 tournaments a day. For Miscues, they don't run 1600 tournaments, but it seems if you play them 1600 times you might win a few. A solid team that is very consistent, they can afford to goof off and have a bad night as each one of them is capable and probably have carried in the past, so carrying again in the future is no issue. This match really comes down to who Straight Shots bring to the table, if they can bring 5 of their top 7, I do feel they can win as Miscues are winning a lot of close ones they should be winning cleanly, but even when you're picking from a pool of 500, it's hard to pick 5 to beat Miscues.
Prediction - 5-4 Miscues
Tuesday @ 6pm - Pool Fiction [3-3] @ Break and Run [5-1]
Pool Fiction showed the hey-lets-lose-lots-vs-girls mentality was a coincidence when they defeated Chele and her girly boys, so they should have no issue against Dina and co. here, especially when there's a large chance they'll lean on Gus who hasn't had a great season so far. Pool Fiction haven't had an ideal start to the season, as they only sit 3-3 and that could partially be due to having no true stand out player. Sure Brian has notched 7 wins in 6 weeks, but he's also lost 4 times in 6 matches, and those 2 I believe were 5-0s. Kalpz has been great this season in his 4 appearances, but beyond that there hasn't been a true stand out that has helped push PFN over the top like seasons past. Break and Run have a few who can though, in Jordy, Ross and Gus, but depth is there main issue. If Pool Fiction are able to take 2 of those 3 out, it should be theirs, otherwise it'll be Break and Runs to lose. Knowing how Kerry is with big matches, expect no less then her best 5 there and a big win for her.
Prediction - 5-2 Pool Fiction
Wednesday @ 6pm - Dead Strokes @ Sexy Poolerz
Both sides are coming off big losses, and one will continue streaking towards the bottom while the other salvages their season and continues to stay in the hunt, so who will win? Again, it depends on who shows for Dead Strokes. Sexy Poolerz are a pretty consistent team in who they bring, and it really isn't a high-quality roster. Dead Strokes have the talent to beat them if they show, but if they don't the players they probably will bring are at risk of losing to a Sexy Poolerz squad who have shown to win when least expected. Looking at the conference, it's not a risky bet to say that it'll be these two battling it out for the final playoff spot as Pool Fiction should be able to stay above these two, but then again who knows, which makes this match all the more important.
Prediction - 5-3 Dead Strokes
Thursday @ 7pm - Pool Dragonz @ Freedom
Pool Dragonz were able to take Miscues to the ropes last week narrowly losing in the final game, while Freedom did the same to Straight Shots. The interesting thing for Freedom this week, they'll be without Travis, and by the looks of it Matt since he hasn't played in just about forever, leaving who to carry for Freedom? Ebs? Petey? Uh oh. Pool Dragonz don't vary in their roster much, and with MVP candidate DJ leading the way, Pool Dragonz are shaping up to not be as bad as everyone though. Sure they have a 2-4 record, but 21-26 overall shows how close they've been, and they still are technically tied for second in the conference, so a big win here could put them in great territory, and I do think they'll win, meaning Freedom will lose, so you know what that means.
Prediction - 5-4 Freedom
Pool Fiction defeat Dead Strokes 5-0 - Well, not much to say here. Pool Fiction picked up a big win and set up a great match this week where they could possibly move within one game of first place, while Dead Strokes should hope this isn't the start of a free fall.

Week 6 - 2000th view
One of you lucky stars will be my 2000th view, sadly, the only "prize" for you are these predictions.
Last weeks results:
Miscues def. Freedom 5-3 - Not much of a surprise here, Miscues is definitely the team to beat in the conference and barring any set backs should cruise to a first round bye while Freedom will be left to fight it out for a playoff spot with 2 other teams.
Sexy Poolerz defeat Pool Fiction 5-4 - Shocking, especially when it looks like CatNapper carried the load for SP. I think she's a girl, which leads into something pretty cool. Tack her 4-0/5-0 carry vs PFN along with Ebas 4-1 against PFN earlier, and PFN are a hideous 2-9 (they beat a female from PDZ I believe) against females. DS have Chele, SP have CatNappa and BNR have Dina. Yikes! Looks like PFN are in for a long season..
Break and Run defeat Dead Strokes - 5-1 - Straight forward match, Jordy gets back into the win column, while Dead Strokes are going to need to draw up something special for the rematch if they havn't started to spiral out of control by then.
Pool Dragonz defeat Straight Shots - 5-4 - At first glance, yes this is a shock, but at second glance? Straight Shots have pretty much shit the bed so far while Pool Dragonz have been keeping it close against a few top teams. Drew better be buying DJ some beer for that effort.

This week:
Tuesday @ 7pm - Pool Fiction [2-3] @ Dead Strokes [2-3]
Apparently the likes of Ashton and Corey are not the important ones for DS in the match, it's Chele. Kidding, I really hope this girl-thing PFN has is just a freaky coincidental fluke. PFN have surprisingly struggled in the first half of the season, in the past two seasons they had always been a consistent second pushing for first, this season is pretty different, why? Who knows. But in a match that will determine who is last place, Kerry & co. will more then likely put the first half in the back of their mind, and the back half of the season as they look to make a push for the playoffs, where they deserve to be. For Dead Strokes, missing the playoffs by an inch seems to be the common theme, last season they fell a game short, in WSOP this season they're tied for the final playoff spot with one week left, and unless they pick up a win here, they may very well be on the outside looking in for the rest of the season. Corey and Ashton need to be here, and possibly need to put on wigs to have any shot at beating Pool Fiction.
Prediction - 5-3 Pool Fiction.
Wednesday @ 6pm - Sexy Poolerz [3-2] vs Break and Run [4-1]
Sadly, there are no cats to be napped from Break and Run, although they did show off their new recruit in Gusta who is a pretty kitty indeed. Break and Run have been adding quite a few stars from other teams and if they're all able to show, this season might be game over for them. For Sexy Poolerz, while last week was a win, they cannot afford a repeat of last week. Leaving one person to carry the load against a Break and Run squad is well, not something your Mother would tell you to do, even if you wash behind your ears. Bev will need her boys and the CatNapper to be out in full force. If SP are able to jump out to a 3-2 lead then they may be able to hold on and as much as I'd like to play the CatNapper effect here, the Kitty Killa in Gusta should give Break and Run the clear edge.
Prediction - 5-3 Break and Run
Wednesday @ 7pm - Straight Shots [1-4] @ Freedom [2-3]
Straight Shots aren't exactly having a season according to plan. Key losses in having Jon, Pita and the other Mike from last seasons roster consistently show sure are hurting as Ben and Shelle have had to consistently bring in other players. Why? Who knows not my problem. Freedom are however, sometimes. Easily the most inconsistent bunch, predicting them is as easy as catching a greased up pig after a bucket of moonshine, so I'll have to keep this short to get back to my moonshine. A struggling squad against an inconsistent squad, sure this has the story line for Straight Shots to get back into the win column, but I know my gut will be wrong here.
Prediction - 5-3 Freedom
Thursday @ 7pm - Miscues [4-1] vs Pool Dragonz [2-3]
Miscues are predicted where both Peter Laveau and I predicted them to be, atop the leader board. But Pool Dragonz has a chance at being only one game back of first with a win here. Crazy after 6 weeks, but it's possible. Ant has surprisingly taken a back seat to the likes of Nerd and Ben who are leading the way in matches, even if Ant has been winning just about every tournament so far. DJ will have no option but to continue his hot streak if PDZ want a shot at winning. Pommy, Hani and Drew will need to win at least 2 of 3 games as well, and since I haven't called an upset yet, if you've read this far, here's an upset. VCU-over-Kansas-esque.
Prediction - 5-3 Pool Dragonz

Week Five
A message to Peter Laveau
Hey, you may not know me and that is fine. You say you are the "future" of interleague predictors and that is great as predictions have taken quite a drop in recent years with many good predictors stopping altogether or limiting themselves to interleagues that have one season every 2 years (Thanks Petey). When you first came about predicting, I believed that; you wrote great predictions every week, highlighting teams strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. At that point, yes I agreed with you, but these days? You don't write predictions, you write soap operas only insinuating increased drama. You're predictions as of late simply suck. Your ending piece is longer then each prediction, that isn't good.
As a predictor who can proudly boast winning some of the very few prediction awards in interleagues, I offer a piece of advise to you. Stop going into detail about the drama, those aren't predictions. Go back to your roots, and stop picking favorites. If you want to be an amateur journalist and go on about drama, do that separately, away from interleagues. Make a website for it, make it universal so every day people can check it and see "What's new from Laveaus Corner", but if you're doing predictions? Do predictions.
I'm not one to toot my horn, but I feel confident telling you to ask everyone who their favorite predictor is now, and in the past and more importantly, why. So please, take my advise and go back to being a predictor.
Last weeks results:
Straight Shots defeat Sexy Poolerz 5-2 - While the earthquake in Japan shortened the day by 16 milliseconds, it put SS back on course. Sexy Poolerz enter conference play in a great position to take advantage of weak play from others, and strong play for themselves. Straight Shots enter conference play looking up with a confident Pool Dragonz squad right on their heels.
Miscues defeat Dead Strokes 5-2 - Seems like DS had a rough week in terms of tape DQ's, but it's better to get it out of your system at once then over time. Miscues were able to bounce back, while Dead Strokes fell into the theme of the Pacific Conference failure for the week. They'll need to bounce back quickly before the rest of the conference jumps ahead.
Freedom defeat Break and Run 5-1 - Pretty embarrassing for Break and Run, though they continue to hold their one game lead over everyone else, but they can't afford a slip up with conference play now among us. As for Freedom, the exact opposite as predicted, THAT, was predictable.
Pool Dragonz defeat Pool Fiction 5-2 - Seems like Joe is pretty thrilled about beating PFN, and while he may be happy for other reasons, it's a good win for Pool Dragonz for not only finishing the Atlantic Conference sweep, but moving forward, PDZ have the monkey off their back with a win in the column and should take advantage of a surprisingly weak conference.

Looking back at the out of conference play all teams saw in the first 4 weeks, the teams from the Pacific conference got the better of the Atlantic teams winning 9 of the 16 matches, even while losing all 4 in this past week. Is it a sign that the Atlantic Conference is getting it together as the season nears half way? Or was it just a coincidence? With conference play upon us, each game is that much more important as stringing wins together which such tight conferences can push you up the standings where your fate is directly in your hands.
This week:
Monday @ 6pm - Freedom @ Miscues
While I already mentioned how important every game is in conference play, and even though it's only week 5, this match is very important as to how the Atlantic Conference will play out. A win for Miscues will give them a 2 game advantage on the rest of the field, giving them immense breathing room that they could hold even with out captain Ant. A win for Freedom would give us a tie for the top spot and the potential for a 2 horse race all the way down to the wire. The match is on Monday which is good for Miscues as I do believe they enjoy Monday matches, earlier then the usual late ones Ant is comfortable with though. For Freedom? Even with the win last week over Break and Run, Freedom are slumping across interleagues, most notably due to Travis and Matt, Peteys two best options, losing a whole lot more then they have been winning. Sure you can say all it takes is one great night for one person to carry a team to victory, but you can also get cleaned up very quickly in PRO. Miscues have rarely had a complete off night since their creation, dominating matches everywhere with losses being very close, Freedom will need all the fire power they can get to combat the likes of Ant, Zach, Ben and James.
Prediction - 5-3 Miscues
Tuesday @ 6pm - Sexy Poolerz @ Pool Fiction
These two teams, surprisingly are almost identically even after the first 4 weeks, and strength of scheduling has nothing to do with it. So why are Sexy Poolerz doing as well as big bad Pool Fiction? They certainly havn't brought over success from WSOP, and in WPA they're up there, and I think the format there is similar to carry, it really confused the socks off me. Sexy Poolerz carry no stars, but they have a consistent line up, of players who can grind out 1-2 wins on any given night. With the law of averages in place, it works out when one has an off night and another has a great night, because their only flaw is against stacked teams like Miscues. Beyond the poor showing for Pool Fiction, they were riding high sporting a 14-10 record which was pretty good. Was it just not their night? You would certainly believe so with the talent they sport. Brian may not be off to as hot of a start as last season, but his record thus far has been quiet and helpful to Kerry. With support like Mina and Kalpz, you can be sure Pool Fiction will bounce back and get conference play started on the right foot.
Prediction - 5-3 Pool Fiction
Wednesday @ 6pm - Dead Strokes @ Break and Run
Both sides came off highs in week 3 but crashed in week 4. Luckily, one of these teams will bounce back and sadly, one will spiral. With this conference so close, Break and Run can afford a spiral with not only the one game lead, but the talent they have recruited for this season. A spiral for Dead Strokes on the other hand, may create a gap (as small as it may be) that could very well turn out to be too large to overcome. The early season hero in Ashton seems to have gone back to his cave, so it'll be on Corey to help provide the necessary support to the rest of the team if Dead Strokes look to crack the playoffs for the first time. For Break and Run, I said they can afford a small losing streak, but the chances of them doing such are minimal. A veteran squad should have no issue bouncing back from an off night. With Ross and Jordy still holding the majority of wins, it's good for Dina they are able to show every night.
Prediction - 5-3 Break and Run
Thursday @ 7pm - Pool Dragonz @ Straight Shots
One would think an 0-3 team defeating a 2-1 team was just a good win, but it seems like to some of their members, it's a miracle. For Joe (who seems to have really enjoyed this win), along with the rest of Pool Dragonz, this win is big. They were all finally able to flex their muscles, and more importantly at once showing they can beat anyone. Drew the led the way as expected, and if that actually is Pommy, then welcome back, and kudos on your 2-0 over your old team. Now comes the important part, carrying it over. I do believe I said Pool Dragonz had the firepower to take on just about anyone, and if they are able to continue that streak (albeit I don't think they'll want to beat other teams as much as Pool Fiction (as once again is proven by Joes status [Creeped out yet?]), but if they are, Straight Shots is a great team to do so against. A win here against a flip-floppity SS squad will put them a game up on last, and possibly tied for second. As per Straight Shots, they finally won a game, now comes the interesting part. Are they going to flub out another loss or are they for real and are going to return to last seasons form when they won their conference? This should be a great match-up and it could really go either way.
Prediction - 5-4 Pool Dragonz

Best of luck to all teams this week!
