Week 1

Roses are red,

violets are blue.
They call me Mr. Pred,
& PRO wont be poo!

Monday @ 6pm - Xtreme 8 Ball [Predicted 3rd] vs Pool Fiction
[Predicted 5th]
Not a bad way to start off the "rebirth" of PRO with these two heavy hitters squaring off. Led by James, X8B will head into Bad Times where PFN has accomplished so much in PRO in the past, but it seems no one thinks they can keep it up. X8B are a team that with 5 at the table, not many will be able to get past, and while they only have 3 signed up at the moment, James will not want to enter his first match-up short handed. In the big picture, PFN are short-handed with the loss of many of their old timers, but while they have loss some depth in their talented roster, they still have a front 5 that can do some damage. Cubby will lead this squad who may have their season decided with how this match-up plays out..

Prediction - 5-2 X8B

Monday @ 7pm - Break n Run [Predicted 6th] vs True Champs [Predicted 8th]
The biggest wild card in the field this season get what should be a relatively easy start, but it could always turn sour. With what looks like a new, BNR-only type line-up with a few well known players in Petey & Tim, Break n Run could be in for a long season if they don't find more talent. Sure players like Jerm, Tan & Luis can put a scare in just about anyone, but when was the last time anyone has seen any of these guys? Who will be on TC's team is another solid question. With a small developed core, Mike & Kassi will need to look for some depth [and make sure camtasia is up & working well] if they look to compete in any way this season. The first week has everyone giddy, hopefully they can get a full team because an upset over BnR is not only possible, but would give TC a massive confidence boost and they could feel like they are capable of doing damage in PRO.

Prediction - 5-3 BnR

Tuesday @ 7pm - Extreme Pool Competitors [Predicted 7th] vs Simply Pool Souls [Predicted 9th]
Jack is a confident, giddy little guy who is looking very forward to the rebirth of PRO. Better yet, for our sake, he will be leading a full, solid EPC team who could do quite a bit of damage in this field. Depth will be an issue for Jack & company but I believe EPC will be able to grab some in the coming weeks. SPS have no issue with depth with their active league, finding a solid 5 to compete with most teams here will be the issue. daquiet.storm can do some damage, but he wont be able to carry this team week in & week out.

Prediction - 5-3 EPC

Wednesday @ 7pm - Evil Poolerz [Predicted 10th] vs Magic Pool [Predicted 4th]
EP have talent in their league, will it result in competitive matches in PRO? Not sure. Rick has experience with interleagues, and like the guy he is, will help his team out as much as he can so they can enjoy interleagues like they should be. There is no doubt EP will have a rough start, but that's just the experience factor kicking in. What will kick in first: Championship hang over or the want to win again? Coming off one of the greatest playoff runs in interleague history, Chris & company will look to prove they can do it else where. With a solid team, I believe the carry system will only benefit MP that much more as MP have a number of players that can grab 2-3 even 4 wins on any given night.

Prediction - 5-1 MP

Thursday @ 7pm - Latino Pool Legends [Predicted 1st] vs Money in the Bank [Predicted 2nd]
Best for last? Apparently so. Finishing off this week with a late Thursday match, we have the top two teams coming in to play in the first week, a match that could be the difference at the end of the season. Led by Ant, LPL are just too good up & down with players like Uriel, Craig & Luis, and who knows what it'll take for them to lose. Carry format's give the better, deeper teams more of an advantage giving less of the spot light to big names with bad games, to anyone who are having a great night. Like LPL, MIB are just silly good. With talent coming out of the wazoo for captain Pommy, he like Ant, can easily run the tables making their first match up, the one to probably decide who finishes first. Ben, Joey & Indy are just a few apart of the "MIB movement" that has turned MIB into a top contender in PRO & MLP. With Pommy clinching a UIC victory against Ant in UIC last weekend, this match-up is nothing short of a barn burner with story lines and more importantly all the hype, and could easily be a preview of the championship match.

Prediction - 5-4 LPL
